In early January 2023, we held guided tours for members of the public, giving a taste of HKUMed’s history and its current teaching facilities.

We began the tour at the original site of the Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese on Hollywood Road, where alumni including Dr Sun Yat-sen received their training. The tour then moved on to our Sassoon Road campus where Student Ambassadors will showcase HKUMed’s achievements alongside guiding visitors through simulation laboratories used by our schools and departments to train aspiring healthcare professionals.

These visits allowed participants to experience to the virtual reality and augmented reality teaching tools used by today’s students.

港大醫學院呈獻135周年誌慶壓軸節目⸺「遊．歷杏林」導賞團已於2023年1月圓滿舉行。

導賞團由上環一帶出發，回顧了孫中山先生等校友的足迹，同時了解港大醫學院的起源及香港醫學歷史發展；再前往醫學院位於沙宣道的校園，參觀全新教學設施，認識現今醫護學生的校園生活。參加者更親身體驗了嶄新教學科技，如虛擬實境（VR）解剖學等。
