MEDICINE AND HEALTHCARE THROUGH THE LENS OF DIGITAL ART
In celebration of our 135th Anniversary, we have created a series of digital art pieces with the support of Mr Anthony Cheung for our upcoming exhibition “Medicine and Healthcare Through the Lens of Digital Art”.
The exhibition is curated to honour the illustrious history, achievements, and human impact of HKUMed through the lens of artistic interpretation. In spotlighting the intricacies in the artful practice of medicine, we hope to introduce our audiences to the oft-morbid and artistic beauty in the most life-altering circumstances of illness and disease; Beyond celebrating our research, the selected works also highlight the countless lives that have been touched by our ethos of health betterment.
All this is brought together and presented in the form of digital art, a new frontier for the artistic community with the rise of NFTs.
The exhibition is scheduled to open on 26 July (Tue) at the Medical Campus on 21 Sassoon Road, with guided tours to be offered to students, alumni, staff, and friends of HKUMed as well as the wider HKU community and general public.
